About The Young Catholic Apostle

If you have ever found yourself thinking one of these things, you are in the right place!

  • I want to find ways to discover my faith on more than just Sunday.

  • It is really hard to find Catholic books and movies that are right me!

  • I need encouragement to live out my faith at work, school, and around non-Catholic friends.

  • I don’t want to be preached at!  I want someone who is learning alongside me!

About: About

Short Bio

Hello! My name is Logan Fude.  I am a vocalist, businesswoman, and proud collector of art supplies.

I have been volunteering as a musician for churches since I was 12, amassing over 400 volunteer hours working behind the scenes of the liturgical year and in Catholic communities.

I worked as a writing tutor in college, and in helping students, I fell in love with servant leadership.  I quickly discovered the magic of supporting others in their way to greatness, and the ways fellowship impacts the community.

The Young Catholic Apostle is a place where I explore the beauty and sense of Catholicism in books, films, experiences, seasons, and change.  I am not an expert on any of the subject matter: I am a Pilgrim on the journey.  All of the posts abide by this Code of Ethics to make sure that you and I are living a breathing the truth of the Catholic Church.

If you have read this far, you probably answered “yes” to one of the statements above.  Great! Let’s dive in:

Long Bio: For people who like details :)

My name is Logan Fude, and I am not qualified to write a blog on religion.  By profession, I am a businesswoman with an emphasis on the financial world.

Yet… here I am.

If I am so unqualified, then how did The Young Catholic Apostle get started?  I am so glad you asked.

If I am being 100% truthful, it got started when I added a Professional Writing minor to my B.A. degree (admittedly a strange minor for an accounting major!).  My Multigenre class required us to start a blog, and other writing classes also had me add to it (you can thank them for the variety of article formats).

Before we started the blog we had to pick something we could write a variety of articles on.  While I explored a variety of topics, there was only one that I was excited about and had a myriad of ideas for posts and articles: Discovering the Beauty of Catholicism in the 21st century.

That, my friends, is how Apostle began.

I am not a theologian, or a philosopher, or an acclaimed speaker: I am a young, Catholic woman experiencing the joys and challenges of my age, my faith, and my community.

I am not your camp counselor: I am your companion.
