There are so many talented people in the world! Truth, beauty, and goodness are foundational to the Catholic faith, and seeing others' work is inspiring!
Some people are amazing at coming up with new ideas, others are great teachers, and others have really interesting thoughts and prompts for my own reflection. Today, I would like to share with you some blogs that I for inspiration, learning new things, and having a great time doing projects. If you visit their sites, let them know that I said "hi"!
Catholic Icing
This is an amazing site especially if you are looking for ways to celebrate the Catholic tradition with younger kids (families are their audience). They have really cool crafts that can be "taken up a notch" if you are working with someone who is a little older. They also have recipes and oftentimes include the history of the tradition (like making a king's cake for Mardi Gras). Lacy, founder and writer for Catholic Icing, also has an amazing story which you can find on her About page.
Catholic Women in Business
This is an amazing blog for women like myself who are trying to properly navigate feminism and the woman’s place in business. They are all about traditional values complimenting the feminine genius. Not only is the content amazing, but their writers' skill is also amazing to read. I love how the articles present ideas as understandable (but don't take 25 minutes to read!). Check them out!
The Young Catholic Woman
This is another blog that I highly recommend and use and inspiration for my own. Their articles are wonderfully written, especially geared for an all-female audience. This blog doesn't focus as much on women in business and is applicable to a wider audience of readers. While the articles are written by women for women, I would still recommend that my male readers check it out: you might learn an interesting thing or two!
The Catholic Gentleman
While I don't believe they are affiliated, The Catholic Gentleman is an excellent male-oriented equivalent of the Young Catholic Woman. As a woman myself, men do all sorts of things that make no sense to me. In an effort to find some answers, I ended up reading a number of their articles. I found them very inspirational and opened my eyes to some aspects of manhood that never occurred to me before.
